Her Family.

As the little child sits all by her self
Her eyes wander around the room,
A little restless,
She puts her gaze down.

Dressed in a white frock,
A pinned napkin,
Braided hair.
“Family” she thinks,
She smiles in her mind.

But she knows,
She will miss “mumma”
She will miss those small beds,
She will miss the food,
She will miss the “gardener uncle”,
She will miss her annoying friends,
She will miss this grey old building.

Two people arrive in the room,
A stout man and a charming woman,
“Mumma” stands beside them,
They look at her,
They give way to a sweet smile.

“Mumma” says to them,
“She is very obedient.”
“We found her near a city dustbin.”
“She is a lucky girl.”

The couple nodded at “mumma”,
Went towards the child,
Picked her up,
Their daughter.

Tears welled in the couples eyes.
So what they could not conceive one,
They would love this child as their very own.
So what she was found in a dustbin,
God has led them to her.

As she held on to her new parents,
She didn’t want to leave “mumma”.
A last glance towards the orphanage,
That 7-year-old girl knew,
Her life has changed for good.

She has a found new home,
New family,
New parents.
What luck!!
That little girl child,
Has found a new life.
